The Shrimps

One of my hobbies is improv comedy, and I perform with The Shrimps Comedy Improv society for paying audiences on a regular basis.

I am also the publicity officer for The Shrimps, and in this role, I have designed many flyers, posters, logos and teaching materials. Some of these can be seen below.

A colourful poster for a Shrimps Improv Give-It-A-Go session. Many colourful shrimp circle the central message. The front page of a flyer for the Shimps comedy improv. A spotlight shines on the next show. The bacck page of a flyer for the Shimps comedy improv. Two shrimps shoot lasers out of their eyes at the words 'Upcoming Workshops'.

The Shrimps were recently invited to teach improv comedy to a youth group, and I was one of four teachers sent. Below are some of the cards I designed for this.

A sheet of colourful educational cards. Each of the shapes behind the shapes corresponds to their linguistic properties. Circles behind vowel sounds, stars around plosives, rounded squares around fricatives, mitered rectangles around approximants and diamonds around nasal sounds. A sheet of colourful educational cards.
